“Damage received an infrastructure facility. <…> All relevant services work at the place of arrival, ”he wrote in the Telegram channel.
Kurtev said that it happened at night. He did not specify which object was damaged. According to him, there were no casualties or damage to residential buildings. Currently, the city is calm, utilities are working regularly, the secretary of the City Council added.
The day before, on March 30, Volodymyr Rogov, chairman of the “We are with Russia” movement , said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are pulling Western armored vehicles and weapons to the line of contact in the Zaporozhye region. In this regard, he suggested that Kyiv could make an attempt to organize an offensive.
On March 29, in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, the shelling of Ukrainian troops damaged the power supply system facilities. Electricity went out both in the city and suburbs and nearby villages.
According to Izvestia correspondent Mary Badunts , the militants fired on the city several times. The objects of the Melitopol locomotive depot were damaged. The shelling was recorded at 5:30.
Prior to this, on March 25, Rogov announced the disruption of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Orekhov, Zaporozhye region. According to him, the offensive attempt was thwarted by a preventive strike by Russian troops on exposed enemy positions. He noted that the Russian forces destroyed the locations of personnel, as well as warehouses with ammunition, military equipment and fuel. In total, about 25 targets were hit.
