A third person is now charged in a triple homicide that claimed the lives of two children in Lebanon.
The Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office said they have charged Ivan Claudio Rosero, 27, with the following:
“The arrest of Rosero comes after an intense, weeklong manhunt for the third shooter in the May 30, 2023 triple homicide,” the DA’s office said in a statement.
US Marshals tracked down Rosero and arrested him Tuesday around 7:15 p.m. at Pennypack Park in Philadelphia.
Detectives questioned Rosero upon his arrest and said he confessed to driving himself and the other shooters to and from the murders, and that he fired multiple shots during the homicide, according to the DA’s office.
The other two suspects, Alex Torres Santos, 22, and James Fernandez Reyes, 16, were arrested the day after the shooting.
Torres Santos was out on bail and wearing an ankle monitor at the time of the shooting. Fernandez Reyes (see video below) is also a person of interest in a separate shooing in New York.
The DA’s office said they intend to seek the death penalty against Rosero and Torres Santos.
Suspect’s girlfriend charged
Rosero’s girlfriend, Tiffany Koziara, is charged with hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.
Investigators said she lied to investigators about her contact with Rosero and his whereabouts. They said she even booked a hotel room for him the weekend of June 3.
Koziara has been arraigned and her bail was set at $225,000.Play Video
Boy died on back porch, chief says
Lebanon City Police Chief Bret Fisher revealed more details about the deadly shooting, which happened around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, in the area of North Fifth Street.
“Jesus Perez, the 8-year-old, was not transported to a medical facility. He died on the back porch of his residence,” Fisher said.
Fisher said Sebastian Perez, 9, and Josh Lugo Perez, 19, were both found inside the residence. They were each taken to hospitals, where they died from their injuries.
Fisher said it appeared that Lugo had fled to the inside of the home.
“At this time, we still believe that Lugo was the target of the gunfire. This was the result of a past argument,” the chief said.Play Video
Police previously said that 27 shell casings from two different weapons were found at the scene.
All three victims lived in the same home, according to investigators. The children were students in the Lebanon School District.
A fourth person who was shot, Luis Cancel, is a next-door neighbor. He was wounded but is expected to survive.
