MOSCOW, March 31 – RIA Novosti. When registering for military registration in 2023, a single electronic database was formed, it is used to prevent cases of unjustified conscription, Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, head of the main organizational and mobilization department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, said on Friday.
According to him, military registration in 2023 took place in a new way – the Ministry of Defense received data in electronic form, while duplicating it on paper.
Based on the information received in electronic form, the Ministry of Defense created a single electronic database, which is located in a closed segment of the military department. This information is planned to be used, among other things, in order to prevent the facts of unreasonable conscription of Russians for military service, Tsimlyansky noted.
He added that this became possible thanks to the equipping of military registration and enlistment offices with digital telecommunications equipment with access to the closed and confidential segments of the data transmission network of the Ministry of Defense, as well as an Internet connection.
